Slept in until 9:30. I couldn't believe it.
Went to class.
Did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen.
Got both of Justin Bieber's CDs.
Listened to them all day.
Help?
Finally came to an agreement with Tyler on a stroller. We decided on this one:
Chicco 30lb Cortina Travel System in Romantic
Found out that almost no stores carry this color.
Found a website that carries it and is having a sale on it.
Bought it. Free shipping and got it on sale. Score!
Got the crib mattress in the mail.
Figured out how we are going to arrange the furniture in the nursery.
So... that was today. It was a good day.

Did more baby research online. Deleted tons of stuff off my registry. I really don't think I'm going to need all that junk. Or will I? I don't know, but I feel like they push so much stuff on you and tell you that you need it, but they never had swings and bouncers and wipe warmers before this generation, so I don't really think they are necessities. Or maybe that just shows how naive I am about baby stuff?

I finally feel like things are moving forward with baby stuff. As soon as Cortney finds a place to live and moves out we are going to set up the crib and start getting the nursery all ready to go. Sometimes I feel like it's too early to buy things or set things up, but then I think about how incredibly fast the past 25 weeks have whizzed by and I know that I'm going to be coming up on my due date before I even know it. And the last thing I'm going to want is to rush it all at the end. I already feel like I move in slow motion because I have less energy and can't be on my feet as much, so if I can accomplish one thing each day, then everything will be ready and I won't have to feel an ounce of stress.
So... that was today. It was a good day.

yay! That is so awesome i am so glad that you bought that today! I love it, color, style, everything! You are totally right about all the "stuff". babies come with so much of that, i dont like it. what ever happened to laying your baby on a blanket on the floor while you were making dinner? do they really need warm wipes on their bum...i think not. me, on the other hand, i might like that ;0).
I have never owned a wipe warmer and have heard they are a waste of money anyway - they dry the wipes out! I have never owned a diaper genie thing either although so many moms have them. I just do the whole put the stinky diaper in a plastic grocery bag and put it in the outside trash. I inherited a boucy thing you hang in the doorway -- neither of my boys liked them although I know babies that will sit in them for hours. I have never had a nice swing, just a small one I got off freecycle that my boys never liked either. HA HA! I do love a bouncy chair/seat thing. something quick to lay them in while cooking or doing chores. It was nice because it props them just enough so they can watch you while you do whatever.
There is sooooo much JUNK out there. Here are a few things I LOVED:
lots of onesies -- you will go through soo many of these it's ridiculous. they poop everywhere. If you ever get to a point that you think --- okay people, stop giving me onesies, just know that you will most likely use every single one of them. I also loved sleeper sacks/gowns. Especially at night. Just lift them up and change those diapers. so much easier than unbuttoning like five bajillion buttons and you usually button them all wrong anyway -- it's like a puzzle every time.
Just a few simple baby toys --- don't go crazy with that kind of stuff. something fun for them to manipulate in their hands... I often would just make toys for my babies. like I would put canning rings on a pipe cleaner ring I twisted around. And a long strand of christmas decoration beads (that wouldn't break). I swear, those two things were my babies favorite toys.
and my face.
I like the waffle-y thermalish blankets for swaddling. they wrap so well.
I don't really like flannel anything. There is a heads up. I had friends make me tons of flannel blankets and burpcloths and they soak up NOTHING. I was amazed at how many blankets and burp cloths I went through too...
Cloth diapers make the best burp cloths EVER. Super absorbent.
gosh.... I have more to say than I though. maybe I should write a post on this myself!
I accidentally posted the same thing three times - woops.
um, can i borrow your justin bieber cd's?
