2/3

I am officially more than 2/3 of the way through my pregnancy. I am almost 27 weeks now. Can you believe it? I sure can't. Recent highlights:

I started working again as a hostess at P.F. Changs instead of serving. It's good because we need the money, but it's not good because it's really hard for me to be on my feet so much. By the end of each shift I feel like my hips are spreading apart from my body, my back feels broken, my feet ache, and my belly feels like it weights 500 pounds. It's no fun. I only work a couple of shifts a week, but even still I don't think I'm going to be able to do it for long. I think I'll quit when I graduate next month.

We are plugging away on home improvement projects for when the baby comes. For instance... we started painting our bedroom white a few months ago but never finished. Tyler is finishing right now as I type this (I love him). Also we got the stroller in the mail and got it all assembled. I absolutely LOVE it, it's so smooth. And I have been working on a little mobile to hang over the crib, but I'm not going to post any pictures until it's finished. Also I've been cleaning out and throwing away junk from the nursery room so we can have space for everything when the time comes to set it up. We still have house guests until August 1st, so we can't set up the crib yet... but I can't wait until we can! It will make it seem more real, I think.

Tyler and I met our newborn twin nieces for the first time last night. They are a week old and about 5 pounds each. So small! They are fraternal twins from in vitro fertilization and they couldn't be more different! They almost don't even look like sisters. Baby "B" is Phoebe, and Baby "A" is Charlotte. Holding those babies was incredible. Newborns are so special and it was even more exciting for me knowing that I would have my own little newborn girl here soon. It was really surreal for both of us as we sat there holding them. We just kept looking at each other and almost laughing because it still doesn't feel real sometimes that we are actually going to have a baby!

Other highlights:
I almost can't bend over to put shoes on anymore.
I can't sleep.
I am never ever comfortable.
Everyone always wants to touch my belly :)
Not much fits me anymore.
Saron kicks all day! I love it.
Things are starting to feel more real every day.

I seriously cannot wait to have this baby!

it's so hard being on your feet all day and pregnant. When I was prenant with MAx I taught until I was about 7 months, I remember just falling and laying on the ground after school.

You will be the hostess with the mostest!

and then you will quit and tyler can buck it up and get a second job at Classic Skating spraying all of the usedroller skates with de-odorizer.

or something.
