warning: this is a brag post

Best. news. ever.

I just got a 100% on my first biochemistry exam!!!

I called home to talk to my parents and told my dad the good news. His response was, "Wow! After five years of college, it looks like you've finally learned something!" Good old Rod. I can always count on him for some dry Welsh humor.

To celebrate my stroke of genius, me and the mister went to the BYU Creamery. I got a hot fudge brownie sundae with my favorite ice cream (Graham Canyon) and whipped cream and almonds and a cherry on top. Yum!!! Afterward, I wondered to myself why I don't always get hundreds on all my exams... Maybe I should have studied more all those years, because that was a lot of fun.

Anyway, it was a great experience for me. I studied my poor brains out for that exam, and it really felt good to know that when I put in the effort, I can do a great job. No matter how hard the class. And it felt cool to tell the testing center girl that I was taking a test for a 400-level class. That's the highest class you can get as an undergrad! The 500-level classes are for grad students.

Moral of the story: after 5 years of college, maybe I really have learned something. Study habits, maybe? Or how to cram obscene amounts of information into your brain without it all leaking out? I think it might be a little of both :)

Congrats! That really is the best feeling. And Graham Canyon is the best ice cream flavor EVER.
